IT IS TIME FOR A "REVOLUTION" of relevance!

THE CHURCH IN AMERICA NEEDS TO RE-OPEN UNDER "NEW MANAGEMENT!"

For several months the Holy Spirit has been dealing with me about the effectiveness -- and sometimes lack thereof -- of HIS church in the earth and especially here in America.

The bottom line of the whole matter is RELEVANCE!

60% of the churches in America have either had no growth in ten years or they are dying.  The morals of our nation have been drastically eroding.

The CHURCH in America needs to re-open under "NEW MANAGEMENT" -- the management of the HOLY SPIRIT!

Jesus Christ was the Master of relevance.  He was so relevant that He could take a group of zealots who were ready to stone an adulteress woman and move them to drop their hand-sized rocks and quietly go on their way.

My friend the gospel of Jesus Christ is RELEVANT.  It will impact your life exactly WHERE you are!  Over the centuries the church has too often devolved from relevance to irrelevance because it guards it ritualism and places the hypocritical order above the true intimate relationship we have with God by becoming BORN AGAIN!

Jesus never came to institute a new religion.  Neither did He come to freshen up a stale religion.  Jesus frankly came to re-establish a lost relationship between MAN and GOD!  The scriptures declare He is the 'Mediator' (a legal go-between) Who stands between God and man bringing the two back together again through His own death on the cross (Hebrews 8:6, 9:15).

I believe there is a world of difference between RELIGION and RELATIONSHIP.  Religion is what I call "CHURCHianity" and it breeds followers who obey rules and regulations.

On the contrary, heart-felt, passionate religion that leads one to be obedient because their heart is in intimate relationship with their Master is true CHRISTianity!

CHURCHianity is judgmental and irrelevant!  It refuses to budge and remains on the far-left of ineffectiveness.

CHRISTIANITY is effective and relevant.  On the graphic you can see that Jesus would not cross the line of compromise, but He got CLOSE TO sinners and other people that the RELIGIOUS crowd would have nothing to do with.  Jesus ate supper with "notorious sinners" and touched people who had "communicable diseases."  CHURCHianity is so sin-conscious that it isolates itself from the ones that Jesus came to seek and to save -- those that are lost (Luke 19:10).

The latter is where I am taking Restoration Ministries!  We will be relevant to our culture.  We will impact people's lives with the true PASSION of Jesus Christ!  Everything about RM will be relevant -- the small groups, the music, the preaching, the teaching, the outreach, the prayer -- EVERYTHING!

We are re-defining some standards.  We are out of the box on some things.  Jesus came and destroyed the box of religion by defining new paradigms of RELATIONSHIP with God.

It would be my prayer that you would experience the passion of Christ... His passion toward you and how awesome it is to reciprocate that passion.

If you live in the Charleston, SC area you really should come check out RM.  Your life will be changed as we "demonstrate the passion of Christ."

If you don't live in the Charleston area then you couldn't find a better place for vacation!  While you're here on vacation you could be our guest during one of our great celebration services.

Desperate for more of Christ,

Tim Hodge
